Controller- Construction

Overview Are you a hands-on accounting pro who can run the show in a small, fast-moving construction business? We're a growing subcontractor working with repeat industrial clients across the region — and we're hiring a Controller to take charge of our financial operations and help build the systems we need for our next phase of growth. Base pay range $115,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr Base pay range is provided by Talent Edge Recruiting. What You’ll Do Oversee Accounts Payable & Receivable Manage cash flow and bank activity Own the month-end close process and financial reporting Coordinate payroll (processed externally via accountant) Handle COIs , lien releases , and compliance Lead development of budgets and forecasting Process daily invoices ranging from small jobs to six-figure projects Support 20–30 active short-term jobs at a time Use QuickBooks Online + Fleet Cost & Care for accounting and billing What We’re Looking For 5–8 years of full-cycle accounting experience, including leadership or 'team of one' roles Background in construction or subcontractor environments Experience with union payroll/reporting Comfortable working independently in a small business setting Proven ability to manage high transaction volume Please Note: This position is open to candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
