This entry-level role performs routine payroll transactions, responds to employee inquiries with empathy and professionalism, and assists with payroll audits and reconciliations.Job Duties and Responsibilities· Provide responsive support to team members by answering payroll questions, researching pay discrepancies, and assisting with accurate payroll information in Workday· Support weekly and off-cycle payroll processing, including new hires, terminations, and employee changes· Assist leaders in coaching team members with time entry and payroll-related processes· Maintain accurate payroll and employee personal information in Workday· Process payroll deductions, garnishments, banking details, and other statutory requirements· Perform payroll reconciliations and audits following established processes· Partner with HR, managers, and other departments to coordinate and resolve payroll-related issues· Ensure compliance with company policies and payroll procedures· Support year-end payroll activities and tax reporting· Support payroll timelines with flexibility for weekend or after-hours processing as needed· Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information with discretion and professionalismPosition Requirements· High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required· Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred· 0-2 years of payroll, accounting, administrative, or related experience· Experience supporting multi-state and Canadian payroll operations preferred· Strong customer service and communication skills with ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically· Ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential payroll and employee information with discretion and professionalism· High attention to detail and accuracy with ability to perform audits and validations following established processes· Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office applications· Ability to learn and navigate Workday Payroll system· Ability to meet weekend or after-hours commitments as required to support payroll timelinesCertifications· Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferredPreferred Qualifications· Workday Payroll experience preferredPayThis is an hourly position with wages starting at $23.50 and pays up to $31.75, based on experience and qualifications.BenefitsAll team members receive the following benefits while working for Life Time:A fully subsidized membershipDiscounts on Life Time products and services401(k) retirement savings plan with company discretionary match (21 years of age and older)Training and professional developmentPaid sick leave where required by lawFull-time Team Members are eligible for additional benefits, including:Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage Short term and long term disability insuranceLife insurancePre-tax flexible spending and dependent care plansParental leave and adoption assistancePaid time off, including 5 to 20 vacation days per calendar year (based on tenure) and paid sick leaveDeferred compensation plan, if the team member meets the required income thresholdLife Time is a place for everyone.
