Senior Accountant Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger.
The Senior Accountant will lead month-end and year-end close processes, including complex account reconciliations.
Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other general ledger accounts.
The Senior Accountant will prepare financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis to support business decisions.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed while providing guidance on accounting best practices.
Support annual audits, tax preparation, and ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
The Senior Accountant will identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.

Preferred Qualifications of the Senior Accountant Role

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; ERP experience preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a collaborative team environment.
