CNC Mill Machinist

As a CNC Mill Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machines to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications and quality standards. Your role will be crucial in ensuring efficient production and contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision parts according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC milling machines, including tool changes, lubrication, and cleaning to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Inspect finished parts for quality, precision, and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, making adjustments as necessary to maintain production efficiency and minimize downtime.
• Adhere to safety protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.

Essential Skills

• 3 plus years experience in a machine shop setting.
• CNC set-up and large part experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification in CNC machining preferred.
• Min 5 years' experience in operating CNC Mills, including setup, tooling, and programming for production machining. (preferred)
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T), and machining specifications.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments for part inspection and quality control.
• Basic understanding of CNC machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with blueprint reading, troubleshooting, changeover, and machine operating.
• Familiarity with lathe, drill press, CNC setups, mills, horizontal machinery.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Bethlehem, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Direct employee from day 1.

This is a fully onsite position in Bethlehem, PA.
