Role Description The Commercial Lines Account Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bolingbrook, IL, with flexibility for some work from home. This role manages a portfolio of commercial clients, handling day-to-day service needs such as policy changes, certificates of insurance, renewals, and coverage inquiries. The Account Manager collaborates with producers and carrier partners to analyze risks, prepare proposals, and ensure appropriate coverage for clients. Responsibilities include responding to client questions, resolving service issues, coordinating with carriers on underwriting and claims matters, and maintaining accurate records in the agency management system. The role also involves educating clients on coverage options, supporting employee benefits-related needs when applicable, and contributing to process improvements and team initiatives. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Commercial Lines Coverage knowledge and a solid understanding of core insurance products for business clients. Candidates should possess Account Management skills, including portfolio management, renewal processing, and documentation accuracy. Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, including clear communication, problem-solving, and a client-centric approach. Candidates should possess general Insurance industry knowledge, including underwriting basics, claims processes, and regulatory considerations. Relevant qualifications include prior experience in a commercial lines account management or similar role within an agency or carrier environment. Relevant qualifications include proficiency with agency management systems, Microsoft Office or similar tools, and strong organizational and time-management skills.
