Details 44-bed Acute Cardiac PCU setting Patient ratio of 3-4:1 Common diagnoses include ACS, PCI, CHF, and thoracic surgery Common medications include NTG, amiodarone, dopamine, Cardizem, and Flolan Night shift schedule from 6:45p-7:15a, every other weekend 36 hours per week across 3 shifts at 12 hours per day Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active RN license (KY or Compact) required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience required Epic EMR experience required Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required Skilled in reading telemetry and titrating drips Experience with EKGs, sheaths, epicardial pacing, ventilators, temporary pacing wires, wound vacs, TR-bands, PCA, CPAP, and feeding tubes Additional Information Provides direct patient care including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation for a cardiac PCU patient population Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and patient families to coordinate care Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and serves as a mentor/preceptor Participates in quality, safety, and service improvement initiatives Works within a teamwork-focused unit culture American Traveler Job ID P-750703.
