Details Work in a 42-bed Progressive Care/Transitional Care Unit Patient population includes stroke, transplant, and Parkinson's Disease diagnoses Patient ratios of 4:1 or 3:1 Uses Epic EMR Utilizes equipment such as dynamap and bladder scanner Administers time-critical medications including insulin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, heparin, and nitro Night shift schedule from 6:45pm-7:15am 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly Required to work every 3rd weekend Requirements Active KY or compact RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required Minimum 2 years of acute inpatient PCU RN experience required Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (ASN) required Epic EMR experience required Must be proficient in neuro care and able to read telemetry and titrate medications Additional Information Responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff and functions as a mentor/preceptor Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and patient/family to coordinate care Facilitates patient and family education throughout care and at discharge Participates in quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives Works within a supportive culture offering flexible scheduling American Traveler Job ID P-747852.
