Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients of all ages, from children to seniors, utilizing a combination of standardized assessments and observational techniques.
• Craft tailored treatment plans that address both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
• Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions that prioritize communication skills, language development, fluency, voice control, and swallowing issues.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to coordinate holistic care.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families to ensure progress continues beyond clinical encounters.
• Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions, maintaining seamless continuity of care during the treatment process.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and completed timely, adhering to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Remain informed about advancements in the field, engaging in continuing education and peer-to-peer collaboration.

Education

• A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) leading to ASHA certification.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of start date.
