Nurse Clinical Coordinator

StoneSprings Hospital Center, part of the HCA Virginia Health System, is seeking a Nurse Clinical Coordinator to support our Emergency Department within the Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this leadership-oriented clinical role, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care while supporting the nursing staff in a fast-paced ER environment. The Nurse Clinical Coordinator will serve as a clinical resource and role model, providing direct patient care, overseeing patient flow, supporting triage decisions, and ensuring adherence to hospital policies, evidence-based practice, and regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans, monitor patient outcomes, and promptly address changes in condition. This role includes guiding and mentoring ER nurses, assisting with staff scheduling and assignments, facilitating effective communication during shift handoffs, and promoting a safe, ethical, and supportive work environment. The ideal candidate is a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of emergency or acute care experience, strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills, and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. You must be comfortable managing multiple priorities, rapid patient turnover, and high-acuity situations while demonstrating empathy and respect for patients and families. As part of StoneSprings Hospital Center’s commitment to compassionate, high-quality care, the Nurse Clinical Coordinator will champion best practices in patient safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement initiatives. The position requires an active RN license, current BLS and ACLS certifications, and a willingness to pursue additional emergency and trauma-related certifications as needed. This is a full-time role that may include rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays to support 24/7 Emergency Department operations in a primarily on-site clinical environment.
