This is the place to do your life's best work.(sm)The Associate Director, Network Pricing within OptumRx is responsible for the oversight of client contract management through financial and network price modeling, forecasting and reporting. You’ll leverage your existing expertise and knowledge in new ways as you strike the balance between health care costs and resources. This is a mid-level management role where you will learn the business fundamentals of drug pricing and client performance management, the underlying data flows, and the tools and systems used to ensure that health care contracts are priced accurately and fairly for all involved. As you do, you’ll discover the resources, backing and opportunities that you’d expect from a Fortune 5 leader.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities: Direct and review the team’s financial analysis and modeling as it relates to setting prescription drug pricesConcisely summarize and communicate the results of complex analyticsTranslate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiencesPredict emerging customer needs and develop innovative solutions to meet themInfluence senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approachesSupport the development of strategic initiatives aimed at reducing the total cost of careProvide consultative advice on use of data as subject matter expert and interpret/summarize analytical findingsLead projects to completion by contributing to database creation, statistical modeling and financial reportsPartner with other departments including Underwriting, Legal, Operations, Clinical, and Account Management to effectively oversee client performance managementCommunicating and consulting with clients directlySet team direction, drive issues to resolution, and provides direction and guidance to members of own teamYou’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:7+ years of analytical experience in financial analysis, healthcare pricing, network management, healthcare economics, or related discipline7+ years of experience in creating and using financial modeling tools, spreadsheets, and information acquisition tools including experience in interpreting and/or displaying financial modeling results to inform actionable decisionsManagement experienceExpert level of proficiency in performing financial impact analysis, risk management, and data manipulationExperience interacting with clients and internal leadersPreferred Qualifications:Healthcare or PBM experienceExperience with Big dataProficiency in Alteryx, SQL and/or TableauEfficient written and verbal communication skillsCareers with OptumRx.
