Material Handler

Our client is looking for a Material Handler in Bogart, GA! This is an initial 2-month contract opportunity with the likeliness of a direct offer, and offering a pay rate of $20.00 an hour. Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st shift 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Key Responsibilities Move recyclable material through the facility. Conducts material grading and evaluates for sale destination. Moves material through the facility with the use of material handling equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, handcarts, hoists, cranes) as required. Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit. Uses PC tablets to dispense and receive information such as part numbers, quantities, locations, comments, etc. Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area. Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers. Properly documents work performed. Required Skills and Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Must be able to work independently with little direction and as a member of a team. Valid driver’s license and valid, consistent and reliable vehicle for mode of transportation Work Environment Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, machine operation, etc.) most of the workday. Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 30 pounds most of the workday. Required to exert physical effort in handling objects up to 50 pounds occasionally. Required to be exposed to physical occupational risks (such as cuts, burns, exposure to toxic chemicals, etc.) most of the workday. Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements most of the workday.
