You'll work onsite with early childhood and elementary-aged children in intensive skills classrooms, focusing on providing specialized instruction—particularly in an environment serving autistic learners. What you'll need:

• Valid Kansas Special Education License (SPED)
• Experience working with early childhood and elementary school-aged children, especially in intensive skills settings
• Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and experience implementing effective strategies in an autistic support classroom
• Skill in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to collaborate with support staff, related service providers, and families
• Flexible, compassionate, and patient demeanor with excellent communication skills

What you'll do:

• Plan and deliver specialized instruction tailored to meet the academic, behavioral, and social needs of students
• Manage caseloads for early childhood and elementary intensive skills programs
• Utilize evidence-based interventions and track student progress toward IEP goals
• Foster a positive and structured classroom environment that supports learning and personal growth
• Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service personnel, and classroom teachers
• Engage with families regularly to communicate progress and strategies for support

This full-time, onsite position begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year in late May. You will be an essential resource for students, families, and your school colleagues during a pivotal time in students’ educational journeys.
