Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Med/Surg RN Job Description: - Location: Nashville, TN - Unit Name: 6th, Post-Op Med/Surg - Number of Beds: 34 - Patient Ratios: 6:1 - Unit Staffing: - Tech support available on day and night shifts - Unit secretary from 7 AM to 7 PM - Equipment Used: - IV Pumps - Telemetry - SCDs - Continuous Pulse Ox Machines - Feeding Pumps - PCA - EKG machines - Bladder scanner - iMobile communication technology - Documentation System: Meditech - Scheduling Requirements: - Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week - 2 weekends (4 shifts) in a 4-week schedule - Floating Policy: - Contract labor is the first to float - Follow rotation for multiple C/L staff scheduled - Patient Experience Expectations: - Deliver attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members - Conduct bedside shift reports - Build personal connections with patients - Include patients and family in care plans Qualifications & Skills Required: - Requested Skill Set: - Med/Surg experience - Ability to prioritize care and multitask - Start IVs - Basic wound care - Maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, & chest tubes - Must Have: - Active RN license - BLS certification - Advanced Skills Needed: N/A - Certifications Required: BLS Dress Code: - Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
