Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer (T02 level) / Principal Engineer (T03 level). This position is located in Roy, Utah and supports the Sentinel program.What You'll Get To Do:A Nuclear Surety Systems Engineer has the opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a system designed to provide another 50 years of security for this great nation. Nuclear Surety ensures that nuclear weapons are protected against peacetime and wartime threats at all times.Perform decomposition of Department of Defense safety manuals into requirements and allocating them to design teams for implementationProvide systems engineering expertise to the design, integration, and testing of a next generation ICBM weapon systemParticipate in technical planning, system integration, verification, validation, cost, risk, supportability, and analysis for mechanical, electrical, and integrated systemsEvaluate the physical security design based on the Department of Defense Safety manualsInterface directly with various compartments of the Department of Defense and Department of Energy to ensure safe design and operation of nuclear weapon systemsUse model-based engineering tools on a major weapon system to pioneer a new way to evaluate and analyze modern designLearn a niche discipline that spans all aspects of Nuclear Power and MunitionsBasic QualificationsThis requisition may be filled at either the Engineerlevel (T-02) or Principal Engineer level (T-03).Required for Both Levels:Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret Clearance. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.   This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.#SentinelsystemsPrimary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
