Job Title: Segmentation Specialist

Job Description

The Segmentation Specialist serves as a highly proficient, quality-focused producer of pre-operative surgical plans for robotic-assisted total hip and total knee replacement procedures. This role centers on accurately reviewing and segmenting CT scans to create detailed 3D anatomical bone models, developing pre-operative plans, and ensuring all work meets established protocols and production targets. The position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow standardized procedures to deliver consistent, high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities

• Create case records using a proprietary case management system to support pre-operative planning workflows.
• Review CT scans to ensure they conform to established surgical protocols for robotic procedures.
• Segment CT scans using specialized software to generate precise 3D anatomical bone models for use in robotic surgery.
• Develop pre-operative surgical plans using digital bone models for robotically assisted total hip and total knee replacement procedures.
• Review CT segmentations and surgical plans to verify the accuracy of anatomical landmark selection, implant sizing, and implant positioning.
• Upload completed pre-operative plans to field-based personnel in a timely and accurate manner.
• Document all activities according to prescribed methods, procedures, and work instructions.
• Follow detailed work instructions exactly to deliver consistent, high-quality output and meet team and department production targets.
• Apply efficient work methods to manage multiple cases and tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and demonstrate a strong customer service orientation in all interactions.

• Bachelor's degree in:
  • Biological Sciences
  • Life Sciences
  • Biomedical Engineering
  • Biomedical Sciences
  • Anatomy
  • Biotechnology
  • Medical Imaging
  • Radiologic Sciences
  • Healthcare Sciences
  • Or a related scientific discipline
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Externship, co-op, research, laboratory, clinical rotation, or academic project experience.
• Exposure to CT, MRI, X-ray, or other medical imaging technologies.
• Anatomy coursework or healthcare-related training.
• Experience gained through university projects or research programs.

This is a Contract position based out of Weston, FL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
