Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience as a System Administrator, Infrastructure Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
- Strong expertise supporting enterprise on-premises infrastructure, including Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, storage, virtualization, and networking technologies.
- Hands-on experience administering VMware virtualization technologies.
- Experience designing, implementing, and supporting hybrid environments that integrate on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with one or more cloud platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or equivalent cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity management, security, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery concepts.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, ARM/Bicep, Ansible, Pulumi, or similar technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Strong knowledge of network configuration and management, including firewall administration.
- Experience administering Active Directory, domain controllers, and Group Policy.
- Experience with SonicWall and Palo Alto firewalls.
- Knowledge of storage solutions including Isilon, Vblock, VxRail, Data Domain, and Avamar.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Experience managing third-party vendors and service providers.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including planning, execution, and delivery of infrastructure initiatives.
- Strong soft skills, including the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive, self-motivated attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as:
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- AWS Solutions Architect Associate
- Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect
- Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
- VMware VCP
- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Security+
- Experience with other system administration tools and technologies (e.g., Active Directory, DNS, DHCP).
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices and documentation standards.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices in enterprise environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
- Experience supporting containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices and documentation standards.
Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as SolarWinds, Datadog, Splunk, or similar tools.
