Occupational Therapist
This permanent part-time occupational therapist role provides flexible scheduling and the chance to deliver individualized therapy in patients' homes. The position emphasizes building meaningful relationships, supporting a collaborative interdisciplinary team, and includes comprehensive onboarding for those new to home health. It offers competitive compensation and mileage reimbursement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
- Provide skilled occupational therapy services in patients' homes.
- Improve patients' independence with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
- Assess home environments and recommend adaptive equipment or home modifications.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on treatment plans and safety strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
- Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and agency regulations.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- Current California Occupational Therapist license in good standing.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
- Minimum of one year of Occupational Therapy experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Passion for delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Experience working with adult and geriatric patient populations is a plus.
