About the Team

Fanatics Collectibles is a new company operating at the intersection of collectibles, culture, and technology. Backed by world-class investors, operators, and sports & entertainment partners, we are building the global leader in next-generation collectibles. As part of the broader Fanatics ecosystem, we leverage a digital sports platform that spans over 900 sports properties and engages more than 81 million fans. Together, we are reimagining every part of the collectibles experience for fans, partners, and creators.

Role Summary

We are seeking a Social Media Specialist with a passion for sports, collectibles, and digital culture to own social content across Topps Digital's collectible apps. Unlike traditional social media roles focused on capturing quick videos or promoting physical products, this position creates highly polished, motion-driven content that brings digital collectibles to life. Through motion graphics, video editing, static design, and social storytelling, you'll create compelling content that promotes digital card drops, in-app events, collector challenges, and major sports moments while building engagement across Topps Digital's social channels.

This is a highly hands-on role where you'll own the Social Media content lifecycle from concept through publishing. You'll develop content calendars, create motion and static assets, write social copy, schedule posts, monitor engagement, and interact with the community. The ideal candidate combines strong motion design and video production skills with a deep understanding of social media strategy, platform trends, and audience engagement. What you will be doing...

Content Creation & Production
  • Produce original short and long-form video content highlighting new product releases, live digital & physical pack breaks, athlete spotlights, and behind-the-scenes stories from the world of collectibles.
  • Develop content for Topps' digital collectible apps (e.g., Topps BUNT, Star Wars™ Card Trader, Topps Total Football, Marvel Collect!), showcasing drops, limited-time releases, challenges, and collector community milestones.
  • Design and animate motion graphics that bring products and digital collectibles to life in a dynamic, fan-first way.
  • Edit and optimize content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and within app ecosystems.
  • Capture and produce content surrounding athlete or celebrity signings, app and physical product launches, and at fan engagement events.
Social Media & Digital Engagement
  • Manage and schedule content across major social platforms, tailoring storytelling to resonate with both traditional collectors and digital-first fans.
  • Create social content that connects physical trading cards and digital collectibles in ways that feel exciting and relevant to fans.
  • Monitor performance metrics and adapt content strategies to drive fan engagement, retention, and app usage.
  • Stay ahead of cultural and sports moments, seizing opportunities to spotlight digital collectibles in real time.
Collaboration & Strategy
  • Partner with product, marketing, and creative teams to bring cross-platform campaigns to life across physical and digital collecting ecosystems.
  • Ensure content reflects the brand's voice while celebrating the passion of the hobby and its fan communities.
  • Support coverage of major sporting events, athlete partnerships, product drops, and in-app activations.
What you will bring...
  • 2-4 years of experience in social media management, content production, or digital marketing, ideally in sports, entertainment, or gaming/collectibles.
  • A portfolio you are proud to share with us (please include with application).
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator) or equivalent creative tools.
  • Proven ability to produce short-form, scroll-stopping content tailored to TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and app-native experiences.
  • Deep knowledge of sports culture and the trading card/collectibles community, with an understanding of the rise of digital collecting.
  • Strong storytelling ability to showcase the emotional connection between fans and their collectibles.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, sports-driven environment with live moments and rapid deadlines.
  • Experience creating content for app store product pages, gaming platforms, or livestream environments.
  • Project: Candidates moving forward in the process will complete a short creative exercise which has been designed to reflect the type of work produced in this role.

This role operates within a small, fast-moving team environment where creators are expected to take ownership of content from concept through delivery. The ideal candidate understands what excites both hobby veterans and digital-native collectors, can capture trending moments, and has the creative chops to produce content that bridges the physical and digital worlds.
