Processing Clerk

Job Description Job Description We are seeking a Processing Clerk to join a busy Shipping & Receiving team in Novi, MI. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong customer service and administrative background who enjoys working with orders, computer systems, and multiple teams throughout the day. This is not a traditional warehouse pull-and-pack position. You'll spend most of your day at a computer processing customer orders, answering questions, tracking shipments, preparing documentation, and ensuring orders move accurately through the process. Youll also provide support to the warehouse and shipping teams as needed. Hours: Monday Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Pay: $18.00 - $21.00/HR. Position: Full time, consistent schedule Duties and Responsibilities: Process customer orders accurately and efficiently Review orders for completeness, verify part numbers, pricing, and availability Enter and maintain order information in computerized systems Prepare and send order acknowledgments with pricing, order numbers, and estimated delivery dates Answer customer questions regarding pricing, orders, shipping updates, and order status Research and resolve customer questions or order-related issues Prepare pricing quotes using established pricing schedules Track shipments through UPS, FedEx, and other shipping carrier websites Communicate shipping updates and delivery information to customers Investigate and help resolve inventory discrepancies Work closely with Customer Service, Accounting, Shipping, Receiving, and Warehouse teams Provide backup support to Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and Service Parts teams when needed Complete shipping documentation, packing slips, bills, and other required forms Perform additional administrative and warehouse support duties as needed Requirements and Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent At least 2 years of office/administrative experience At least 2 years of customer service experience Strong computer and data-entry skills Comfortable working with Microsoft Office, including Excel Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach Ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities and departments Basic math skills Ability to read and write English Company Description GreatStaff Direct, a full-service recruiting firm, has been retained by a long-term client in Farmington Hills to identify qualified candidates for immediate openings due to their continued growth.
