Manager, Technical Accounting

Technical Accounting Manager X Energy, LLC is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager responsible for researching, analyzing, and documenting technical accounting positions in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Responsibilities Research and document technical accounting positions on complex transactions, contracts, and arrangements, and report recommendations to executive management. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures for new business processes or areas where existing documentation is insufficient. Evaluate and document accounting treatment for revenue contracts, leases, debt and equity instruments, and other complex arrangements. Analyze and implement new accounting pronouncements and standards. Provide guidance to the accounting team and various departments on technical accounting matters. Support the financial statement preparation and disclosure process from a technical accounting perspective. Collaborate with external auditors on technical accounting matters and respond to related inquiries. Participate in system implementations to ensure alignment with accounting requirements. Maintain professional demeanor in all forms of communication. Perform other duties as assigned by manager. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. 10+ years of relevant experience. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on technical accounting. CPA required. Public accounting experience preferred. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Location & Work Expectations 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD. Work site: 3 days in office; travel: 5% as needed for project assignment. Hours: Standard office hours are 8:00 am ET to 5:00 pm ET, Monday through Friday. Compensation Salary range: $145,000 – $170,000 (based on qualifications, education, and experience).
