Warranty Analysis Engineer – Transmission & Driveline
Location: Auburn Hills, MI – Onsite Bill Rate: DOE
Seeking a Warranty Analysis Engineer to perform warranty failure analysis, root-cause investigation, component teardown, and corrective-action support for transmission, driveline, and powertrain systems.
Required Skills:
- 5–10 years automotive warranty, quality, product, or failure analysis experience
- BS in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or related field
- Transmission, gearbox, axle, and driveline systems
- Warranty part teardown and failure analysis
- Root-cause methods: 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, Fault Tree
- Component diagnostics, disposition, repair/rework, and containment
- Engineering drawings, GD&T, material specifications, tolerance stack-ups
- Automotive manufacturing, materials, and reliability engineering
- Warranty data analysis and failure/trend identification
- APQP, PPAP, DFMEA, PFMEA
- CAD drawings, engineering specifications, and test reports
- Strong analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills
- Microsoft Office and engineering data analysis tools
Preferred:
- OEM or Tier-1 automotive experience
- Vehicle diagnostics and field data analysis
- Warranty/quality management systems
- Six Sigma / Lean / statistical analysis
- Hybrid/EV powertrain experience
