Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) RN in Madison, WI. This position involves providing specialized perioperative care in a busy surgical environment, supporting a variety of complex procedures including kidney transplant, gynecologic, and urological surgeries utilizing robotic systems like the Davinci Xi. The role requires adherence to hospital protocols and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/03/2026
• Required Qualifications: RN License, BLS certification, minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient acute care experience in operating room or surgical setting, experience with robotic surgery (Davinci Xi), knowledge of procedures such as hysterectomy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, cystectomy, and urological/gynecological surgeries, ability to handle blood and blood products, and familiarity with sterile techniques.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with intraoperative charting, trauma level experience2, patient ratios experience, previous charge nurse experience, and comprehensive knowledge of surgical instrumentation.
• Additional Information: The role involves working in a Magnet-designated facility ranked as Wisconsins #1 hospital. Certifications such as BLS are required. Candidate must meet specific pass/fail telemetry testing criteria, including identification of lethal rhythms, with two attempts allowed. A telemetry exam will be administered prior to start date. Local candidates are not accepted; travelers are required to float as needed within a 50-mile radius.
