Quality Technician 2

Grade: 4 $23-$24 (DOE) Status: Non-Exempt

Role Description:

The Quality Assurance Technician supports the companys quality systems by performing inspections documenting results and assisting with problemsolving and continuous improvement activities. This position requires strong communication skills attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

This role is classified as nonexempt under California law and is eligible for overtime in accordance with state and federal wageandhour regulations.

Essential Job Functions

• Inspect incoming materials inprocess components and finished products to ensure compliance with established standards.

• Conduct tests on finished products to verify performance within defined specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and enter data into the quality database.
• Communicate deviations promptly to operators and supervisors to support timely corrective action.
• Reject outofspecification product and place questionable product on hold for management review.
• Provide clear work instructions and quality guidance to production personnel.
• Support line supervision with qualityrelated line calls.
• Participate in internal audits and assist in developing corrective action plans.
• Assist in creating and revising standard operating procedures and quality documentation.
• Participate in problemsolving activities including rootcause analysis and corrective action validation.
• Participate in kaizen events and other quality or process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company safety policies.
• Perform other job-related duties consistent with training experience and business needs.

• Understands and follows all required safety rules and precautions for working in a manufacturing environment.
• Supports documentation and resolution of nonconforming materials and process discrepancies.

• Communicates effectively with the Quality Manager regarding methods quality issues and problemsolving activities.
• Prepares clear concise and accurate reports of inspections audits test results jobsite visits and delivered goods.

Quality & Process Support

• Assists in developing and implementing objectives plans and priorities to support timely completion of qualitycontrol goals.
• Interprets CAD drawings and verifies conformance to company specifications.

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint Word).
• Able to read and use measuring devices such as tape measures protractors and micrometers.

Physical Requirements

• Able to move materials and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to walk and stand for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
• Able to work in varying temperatures including high heat or cold.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with Minitab or other statistical software preferred.
• Proficiency in Word Excel and PowerPoint.
