We lend in all 50 states and are looking for a reliable Loan Partner/Pre-Approval Specialist .

We are seeking a strong, detail-oriented, client-focused Loan Partner/Pre-Approval Specialist to support borrowers, referral partners, and our internal team from pre-qualification through closing.
This person will serve as a key extension of the Loan Originator by helping structure files correctly, communicating clearly, staying ahead of issues, and keeping the pipeline moving smoothly.
This is not a passive administrative role. It is a role for someone who is very experienced, takes ownership, thinks on their feet, follows through, communicates professionally, takes pride in helping clients and teammates succeed, and takes real ownership of their work.
This person will help move clients from pre-qualification through contract and into processing, while helping keep files clean, communication strong, and the pipeline moving smoothly.
Compensation:$60,000 Plus Bonus based on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities
Pre-qualification and Pre-approval
- Follow up promptly with new applications and assigned leads
- Review the loan application thoroughly with the borrowers
- Request and review supporting documentation for income, assets, credit, and eligibility
- Help assess borrower readiness and scenario viability
- Explore all reasonable loan options before a file is declined
- Prepare accurate pre-approval letters and supporting documentation
- Clearly communicate approval terms, limits, and next steps to borrowers
- Flag red flags, structural issues, or concerns early
Client and Referral Partner Communication
- Provide a warm, professional introduction to how Team Clermont works
- Communicate clearly and confidently with borrowers, Realtors, financial planners, builders, and other referral partners
- Notify referral partners promptly when pre-approvals are issued and throughout the loan process
- Serve as a helpful resource when the Loan Originator is unavailable
- Keep clients and referral partners informed throughout the process
- Make regular follow-up calls to pre-approved buyers who are actively shopping
Contract to Processing Handoff
Once a contract is received, this person will:
- Onboard the file quickly and accurately
- Coordinate for disclosures to be sent
- Follow up to ensure disclosures are signed promptly
- Gather and organize the core documentation needed before submission to processing
- Prepare the client for the next steps, including insurance, timelines, and expectations
- Ensure key data fields, milestones, and referral source information are complete in the LOS
- Submit a clean, complete, and organized file for processing
- Communicate clearly with the processor regarding file structure and outstanding items
This role is expected to help ensure the file is as complete and accurate as possible before it goes to the Processor.
Pipeline Management and Team Support
- Review the pipeline daily to identify urgent files, deadlines, and potential issues
- Help monitor loans through closing
- Work closely with processors, underwriters, title, insurance, and other third parties
- Attend and contribute to pipeline meetings
- Help resolve most loan issues before escalating to the Loan Originator
- Conduct pre-closing, funding, and post-closing support calls as needed
- Support continuity for the team when the Loan Originator is unavailable
This role is central to the future growth of Team Clermont. The right person will help strengthen client and referral partner relationships, protect file quality, improve workflow, and create a smoother, more scalable business model.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Mortgage experience as a loan partner, LOA, processing, or origination role (but doesn’t want to work 100% commissioned
- Strong understanding of agency and investor guidelines
- Experience with DU/DO, LP, MI, and structuring common borrower scenarios
- Familiarity with Encompass or similar LOS platforms
- Strong understanding of mortgage documentation, disclosures, and pipeline flow
- Ability to work with clients and referral partners in multiple states
- NMLS registration or licensing as needed for the responsibilities of the role and company requirements
