About the Role:

Roper Thermals in Clinton, CT is looking for a skilled and dependable Plant Operator to join our team. This is a hands-on opportunity to play a critical role in keeping our facility running safely and efficiently. Responsibilities:

Monitor and operate plant equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure optimal performance

Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on plant systems and components

Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or process-related issues and escalate as needed

Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports of plant operations and equipment status

Adhere to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)

Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency

Support startup, shutdown, and changeover procedures as required

Requirements:

Prior experience as a Plant Operator or in a similar industrial/manufacturing role preferred

Working knowledge of plant systems, mechanical equipment, and process controls

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and operating procedures

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a production environment

Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with OSHA and environmental standards

Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Ability to work various shifts, including nights or weekends, as needed
