This role reports to the Senior Director, Strategy & Development and plays a key role in developing growth strategies, evaluating capital projects, analyzing financial performance, and working on debt financings for the organization. Working closely with senior executives, the Associate, Strategy & Development supports investments in acquisitions and new hotel developments as well as strategic pathways across multiple areas of the firm including corporate strategy, potential divestitures, corporate finance, and other special projects, all while gaining experience and exposure in the hospitality industry.Who You Are:Hardworking, driven individual who is excited to learn and comfortable asking questionsStrong communicator who can transform intricate concepts into clear, actionable insights, skilled in both regular, informal check-ins as well as formal investment presentationsMeticulous organizer with impeccable attention to detailAnalytical dynamo who can leverage quantitative and analytical problem-solving abilities with a strong command of financial modelingProactive, takes initiative, supports strategic priorities, owns projects from start to finish, consistently delivering outstanding resultsVeterans and military spouses encouraged to applyWhat You’ll Do:Strategy & Financial PlanningWork with senior executives on major strategic decisions and special projectsEffectively communicate strategic updates by developing compelling presentationsAnalyze and track performance of properties and the CompanySupport communications with the Board of Directors and with Loews CorporationNew Hotel Development and AcquisitionsEvaluate new investment opportunities for Loews Hotels & CoPerform strategic and quantitative analyses, conduct due diligence, and determine appropriate company and/or project valuationIndependently execute primary and secondary research on markets and projectsCoordinate with partners and other key stakeholdersCover transactions from deal sourcing through execution, approval, and openingCorporate FinanceAnalyze opportunities for debt financing at both new hotel projects and for our existing hotel portfolio and assist in the execution of those debt financingsManage monthly reporting for executives related to new investment and debt activitiesAdditional ResponsibilitiesAttend all required meetings and/or training sessions and maintain regular attendance in compliance with Loews Hotels & Co standardsComply with required departmental and company policies, procedures and service standards and safety regulations and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedYour Experience Includes:Undergraduate degree required1-3 years of relevant experience required; prior investment banking preferred: also open to consulting and/or commercial real estate firm experienceFinancial modeling skill preferredStrong Microsoft Office skills, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and TeamsAbility to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of employees and guests in an attentive, professional, courteous and service-oriented mannerStrong organization and time-management skills with the ability to maximize efforts towards productivity, and meet deadlinesAbility to juggle multiple tasks & projects with superb accuracy in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work with different personalities/work styles and adapt to the changes and needs of the companyMust be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively, take a proactive approach, and anticipate needsFlexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and deadlinesAbility and willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time/one two-day trip per monthSalary range for this position, based on experience, is $100,000.00 to $125,000.00.SummaryLocation: NY - New York - Loews Hotels & Co Corporate OfficeType: Full time
