Position Summary This position is responsible for income tax area such as federal tax returns, federal tax provision, state tax apportionment, and other income tax reporting and activities for the company. A tax accountant reports directly to the tax manager. The role requires knowledge of federal and state income tax regulations, as well as experience in audit support. Analytical focus is required; demonstrating large amounts of data compilation and analyzing year to year and quarter to quarter taxable income changes. The position must demonstrate the ability to plan and execute tasks effectively to ensure compliance with critical tax deadlines. Coordination with other accounting personnel, various departments, and external consultants is also required. Additionally, the role must possess ability to monitor tax legislative changes and communicate effectively any changes that impact the company. Role and Responsibilities Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For: Beresponsibleofpreparationofmonthly,quarterly,andannualtaxprovisions,corporatetaxreturns,andregulatorycompliancetasks. Preparestateapportionmentdataandreviewseparatefilingstatetaxpreparationbythirdpartyandmakeestimatedpaymentsaccordingly. BeresponsibleofleadingannualR&DtaxcreditbycollaboratingwithaconsultingfirmandSMEs. AssisttaxmanagerforInvestmentTaxCredit(48D)Model. BeresponsibleofcorporatetaxestimatesquarterlyandprovidingdatatoNAHQforETRquarterly. AssisttaxmanagertoprovidedatatoaconsultingfirmforCostSegregationStudy. ProvideSAPdepreciationdatatothirdpartyforQBAIcalculationforFDII. AnalyzefinancialstatementdataannuallyandprovideittoanexternalconsultingfirmforannualAPAcompliance. Providestronganalyticalskillsanddemonstrateproblemsolving. Workcloselywiththetaxmanageroninformationgathering,analysis,anddraftresponsestofederalandstatesauditIDRs. Reporttothetaxmanagerandworkcloselywithothertaxstaffandotherdepartments. Provideabilitytomeetdeadlinesandeffectivelyprioritizeafast-pacedandvariedworkload. Completeareviewofinternalprocessestotesttheaccuracyofinternalcontroloverfinancialreportingeveryquarterandsubmitevidenceandsupportingdocumentsviatheinternalcontrolportal. BeresponsibleofsubmittingtaxforecasttoTreasury. Conducttaxresearchastheyarise. Provideanytaxrelatedrequestsandresponsibilitiesasrequiredorassigned. Skills and Qualifications Here’s what you’ll need: BBA/BSinAccountingrequired. Minimumof3-5yearsinfederalandstatecorporatetaxexperiencefrompublicaccountingfirmsorindustry. CPApreferred. Haveexcellentunderstandingoffederalandstateincometaxlaws,rules,andregulations. KnowledgeofInvestmentTaxCredit(48D)Analysis. SAPsoftwareexperienceandadvancedskillsinExcel. Flexibleandteamoriented. Highlydetailoriented. The current base salary range for this role is between $65,000 - $107,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
