Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Previous experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Adaptable teaching methods to address varying abilities and learning styles
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Strong organizational skills and a passion for encouraging student growth

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and interventions to students with special needs in accordance with IEPs
• Assess and monitor student progress, modifying instructional techniques as needed
• Foster a positive, respectful, and engaging classroom environment that promotes inclusion
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, administrators, and families to ensure cohesive support for students
• Maintain thorough, accurate documentation relating to student performance and IEP goals
• Participate in meetings, trainings, and professional development to stay informed of best practices
