Senior Murex Production Support Engineer - Equity Derivatives

Overview Join Mizuho as a Senior Murex Production Support Engineer – Equity Derivatives. The role focuses on ensuring production stability for the Murex MX.3 platform used by the Equity Derivatives trading desk, acting as both first- and second-line support. Key Responsibilities Front-Line User Support: Own end-to-end incident management—including triage, impact assessment, root cause analysis (RCA), and post‑incident remediation. Monitor system health indicators, design proactive monitoring and alerting, and classify incidents by severity and domain. Incident Monitoring & Triage: Continuously monitor dashboards, logs, job schedulers, and RTS feeds. Identify and investigate pricing, risk, trade enrichment, and interface issues, and perform initial troubleshooting. Case & Vendor Management: Create, manage, and track vendor cases (e.g., Pega), provide detailed reproduction steps, and validate vendor patches in lower environments. Environment & Change Coordination: Support controlled production changes, emergency fixes, and scheduled maintenance windows. Execute pre‑ and post‑deployment validations and coordinate with infrastructure, middleware, and release management teams. Documentation & Knowledge Management: Maintain and improve SOPs, runbooks, technical procedures, and incident knowledge bases; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Required Skills & Experience Experience supporting Murex MX.3 (3+ years preferred); 5+ years in front‑office trading technology support. Knowledge of Equity Derivatives, Greeks, and end‑to‑end workflows. Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences. Advanced troubleshooting of Murex platform logs, performance, and EOD processes. Proficient in Unix/Linux log analysis, shell scripting, and Python. SQL experience (Sybase, SQL Server, or Oracle). Experience with Murex modules: e‑tradepad, Pricing, Simulation, Livebook, Workflow; Murex Market data modules: MDCS, RTBS, MDRS, MDIT; and APIs (Indicative Pricing API, REST, GraphQL). Understanding of Murex orchestration, services, and process flows. Nice to have Qualifications Experience configuring observability/monitoring tools (Telemetry, ITRS, Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog). Experience with enterprise job schedulers (Tidal, Autosys, Ctrl‑M). Incident, Problem & Change management (e.g., ServiceNow). Work Model NY trading‑hours coverage, on‑call rotation, and a hybrid environment. Compensation Base salary range: $111k–$180k, plus discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
