Job Purpose The Clinical Manager, Lydia House provides leadership, clinical oversight, and operational management for clinical and support service teams serving opportunity youth and 'ohana (families). This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed, culturally grounded, and evidence-based services that promote healing, resilience, wellbeing, and positive youth development including authentic youth voice, shared goal-setting, and opportunities for leadership and agency in alignment with Lili'uokalani Trust's mission and strategic objectives. The Clinical Manager shapes and maintains the clinical infrastructure in service of the broader developmental goals of young people with an emphasis on building genuine connection through the oversight of case management and therapeutic services. This role supervises and actively supports the wellbeing of teammates, promoting professional growth, strengthening clinical practice, and fostering a culture of reflective and restorative practice. The Clinical Manager partners with leadership and community providers to strengthen coordinated care and program effectiveness and to advance the mission of Lili'uokalani Trust. About Lydia House Lydia House (LH) serves youth and young adults (YYA) ages 16-26 who are navigating complex life challenges and system involvement. Through its Engagement Center, LH provides low-barrier access to basic needs using a youth-centered, Hawaiian values-based, and healing-centered approach. The Huliau Onsite Living Program offers intensive case management to strengthen education and workforce skills, with opportunities for financial and housing support. LH operates 24/7 with 40 beds across 18 dorms for eligible young adults (18+) enrolled in Huliau, fostering growth, resilience, and independence.

- Provide day-to-day management and operational oversight of assigned teammates, including workload coordination, practice support, performance management, and staff development.
- Manage and balance staff workloads by reviewing caseloads, service intensity, and other responsibilities to ensure equitable distribution aligned with youth needs.
- Assign and review cases to ensure appropriate staff allocation based on staff expertise and case complexity.
- Promote trauma-informed, evidence-based, culturally responsive, and strength-based approaches promoting positive youth development practices centering youth voice, choice, and collaborative goal-setting, and embedding these frameworks and practices into daily interactions, policies and procedures, and team culture.
- Oversee program-related expenses, reviewing and approving payments for casework and group activities.
- Guide planning, staffing, and resource allocation to support effective service provision and group programming
- Provide supervisory oversight of case management practice, ensuring adherence to organizational standards, documentation requirements, and best practices.
- Provide direct clinical supervision to Youth Support Specialists, interns, and other mental health professionals.
- Guide staff in the development and implementation of individualized service plans and appropriate interventions.
- Maintain a practice orientation that centers healing as relational and community-embedded, supporting staff in building genuine, consistent relationships with youth that extend beyond case management and therapeutic services into mentorship, celebration, and everyday connection.
- Conduct regular case reviews and provide feedback to support effective and culturally responsive service delivery.
- Facilitate team collaboration through regular meetings and case conferences to ensure coordinated, youth-centered services that foster resilience, growth, and positive youth development in alignment with Lili'uokalani Trust objectives and values.
- Oversee case opening, transition, and closure processes toensure timely, accurate documentation and continuity of care.
- Provide therapeutic services to opportunity youth through individual, family, and group-based interventions as appropriate.
- Facilitate therapeutic and skill-building groups that promote healing, resilience, connection, and positive youth development.
- Provide crisis intervention, safety assessment, stabilization, and follow-up support for opportunity youth experiencing behavioral health or emotional crises.
- Maintain ongoing coordination with the Clinical Director, who provides clinical consultation and reflective supervision support for complex cases.
- Provide clinical consultation, reflective supervision, and group supervision support for LH teammates to strengthen practice and care coordination.
- Support teammates in identifying when clinical services are needed and facilitate connection to the Clinical Director and other specialty resources (including external resources).
- Develop, maintain, and continuously strengthen a robust referral network of behavioral health, social service, educational, and community-based providers to support coordinated, collaborative care and timely connection to resources.
- Provide coaching, supervision, and professional development support to direct-report teammates.
- Conduct regular supervisory meetings to monitor workload, practice, and staff well-being, engaging in reflective and restorative supervision practices and prioritizes the emotional and professional wellbeing of teammates.
- Model and promote sustainable practice by normalizing conversations about vicarious trauma, compassion fatigue, and the importance of staff care as a programmatic and ethical responsibility.
- Monitor performance, address conduct or performance concerns, and partner with People Operations on resolution.
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and training of new teammates in collaboration with site and program leaders.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback aligned with learning and development goals.
- Foster a positive, culturally grounded team environment that reflects Lili'uokalani Trust's values.
- Stay current on emerging trends, research, and policy developments in youth services, behavioral health, and areas that may affect the Lydia House population, bringing relevant knowledge into supervision, practice, and program planning.
- Monitor documentation quality, ethical practice, and compliance with organizational policies and safety protocols.
- Identify service risks, workload concerns, and system barriers, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure consistent practice standards across LH Teammates.
- In collaboration with the Clinical Director, support quality assurance efforts to ensure that clinical services are delivered in accordance with best practices and evidence-based standards.
- Monitor and evaluate clinical outcomes, participation trends, and service effectiveness to support continuous quality improvement and data-informed decision-making.
- Support integration and sustainment of program initiatives, practice improvements, and organizational priorities in alignment with LT organizational values.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director and leadership team to develop, implement, and strengthen clinical programs, interventions, and therapeutic supports.
- Facilitate adoption of best practices, standard processes, and consistent expectations across LH Teammates to support youth-centered, strength-based, and positive youth development approaches.
- Promote intentional collaboration and creative problem-solving to improve service delivery.
- Identify service gaps and recommend enhancements to improve access, responsiveness, and outcomes for opportunity youth and 'ohana.
- Foster a culture of engagement and connection within the team and with the young people served that helps youth identify and move toward their hopes, dreams, and goals, not only addressing their challenges.
- Ensure that clinical structures and supports serve the broader developmental goals of young people, positioning documentation, compliance, and case management infrastructure as tools in service of youth goals and wellbeing.
- Actively collaborate across the LT continuum of care to ensure that Lydia House participants are connected to the full range of LT programs, services, and opportunities that are relevant to their interests and goals.
- In collaboration with site and program leaders, support teammatesin developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with 'ohana, community partners, schools, and system agencies.
- Assist teammates in mobilizing community resources to support service plans.
- Work closely with community partners to coordinate services and resources for clients.
- Support outreach efforts to engage opportunity youth and 'ohana who may not yet be connected to services, reducing barriers to initial access and building pathways into care.
- Advocate for opportunity youth and 'ohana to ensure access to appropriate behavioral health, educational, social, and community-based supports.
- Support and champion youth leadership opportunities, elevating youth voice in service design, program planning, and community engagement wherever possible.
- Address community concerns or conflicts with professionalism, cultural humility, and an assets-based approach.
- Utilize caseload and service data to inform staffing decisions, program planning, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee tracking of participation, progress, and outcomes to ensure services are effective and responsive to the needs of youth.
- Support evaluation and reporting processes aligned with organizational priorities.
- Prepare and utilize data-informed reports on team performance, program progress, clinical services, and mission-related outcomes for leadership.
- Communicate program updates, challenges, and resource needs to leadership and teammates.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and complete clinical records, documentation, and related reporting requirements.
- Approve time reporting, FTO, and program-related financial transactions in accordance with organizational procedures.
- Participate in agency-wide meetings and committees as required.
- Contributes to the Lili'uokalani Trust's success by accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and striving to improve team and organization results.
- Contributes to providing a safe environment for teammates and beneficiaries.
- Participates in continuing education and training opportunities for professional development.
- Holiday, evening, and weekend hours are required as needed.
- Ability to travel as needed for Trust business.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent licensure. Ph.D. degree in social work or psychology is highly sought.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct clinical practice.
- 2+ years of experience in clinical supervision or management.
- Strong knowledge of social work theories, practices, and ethics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records systems.
- Experience in program development and evaluation.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care and other specialized clinical modalities.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to use a computer and other office equipment for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting and carrying of files and other materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Office environment with occasional travel to community sites and client homes.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Collaboration: Ability to interact effectively with youth, community partners, and multi-disciplinary teams. Knowledge of community resources and services.
- Communication: Clearly conveys and receives information and ideas to individuals or groups that engages the listener and invites response and feedback. Demonstrates good written, oral, and listening skills.
