Senior Business Analyst / Professional Services / Hybrid / Plano, TX Our client is a leading global IT services and solutions organization supporting enterprise customers across complex technology and Professional Services environments. They are seeking a Senior Business Analyst – Professional Services Business Process to join their North America Professional Services organization. This is a hands‑on business process analysis and documentation role focused on understanding how Professional Services work is performed today, identifying gaps and improvement opportunities, and translating that knowledge into clear, usable process documentation and standard operating procedures. Contract Duration: 6+ Months Contract-to-Hire Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, Business Process Analyst, or similar role. Strong experience documenting current‑state business processes and gathering requirements across multiple stakeholder groups. Hands‑on experience with BPMN 2.0 process modeling , including swimlanes, gateways, exception paths, and cross‑functional handoffs. Demonstrated experience developing SOPs, work instructions, process documentation, or operational procedures used by business teams. Experience facilitating stakeholder interviews, process workshops, requirements sessions, and process discovery activities. Strong process mapping skills using tools such as bpmn.io, draw.io, Visio, or similar platforms. Experience maintaining requirements logs, decision logs, issue trackers, action registers, and related business analysis artifacts. Desired Skills & Experience Experience within Professional Services, IT services, consulting, enterprise service delivery, operations, workforce management, or resource management environments. Experience supporting enterprise transformation initiatives involving multiple business processes and technology platforms. Exposure to ERP, scheduling, resource management, service management, contingent workforce, and reporting platforms. What You Will Be Doing Daily Responsibilities Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process discovery sessions across Professional Services functions including Field Engineering, PMO, Consulting, Revenue Operations, and Resource Management. Document current‑state business processes and translate findings into complete process documentation, including SIPOC, process overviews, BPMN 2.0 swimlane models, interface specifications, and per‑actor procedures. Develop clear, actionable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions based on input from business and delivery leaders, validating documentation with process owners prior to publication. Identify and document process pain points, inefficiencies, workarounds, risks, gaps, cross‑functional handoffs, and opportunities for improvement or standardization. Maintain and update published process documentation as operating models, platforms, business requirements, and delivery processes evolve. Gather and analyze business requirements across multiple stakeholders, distinguishing true requirements from preferences, legacy practices, and regional variations. Maintain structured business analysis artifacts including requirements logs, issue logs, assumptions, decision logs, action trackers, and follow‑up registers. Review existing documentation, business rules, reporting logic, SOPs, and work instructions to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and outdated information. Review and validate AI‑assisted documentation and draft artifacts against source material to ensure published materials are complete and accurate. Prepare summaries, briefing materials, impact assessments, and decision‑support content for Professional Services leadership and broader transformation initiatives.
