Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital General Surgery unit position requiring BLS certification and CST credential or LVN/LPN license. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of a Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program required 2+ years of experience preferred BLS certification via AHA required Certified Surgical Technologist credential within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN license required License required if applicable Responsibilities Hospital general surgery unit setting 4-day, 10-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM Weekend and on-call requirements Floating to Main location required Uses EPIC EMR 13-week assignment Assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, including skin prep and positioning for surgery Maintain aseptic technique and monitor for breaches throughout procedures Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite Set up OR tables, instruments, and supplies according to case type using physician preference cards Establish and maintain the sterile field, passing instruments and sutures to the physician Proficiency scrubbing in 3 or more specialty areas such as Transplants, Open Heart, Urology, Neurology, Titanium Rib, or Robotics is highly preferred Work under the direction of a professional nurse as part of the surgical team Maintain proper traffic control, dress code, and OR sanitation standards Scrubs provided Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius Returning employees must be separated from the facility system for 6 months prior to starting a new travel assignment Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts Job ID: P-767435 Open Positions: 1 #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
