Located in Sugar Land, TX, this overnight inpatient pharmacist position offers a compelling opportunity to apply your expertise in a busy hospital setting on a contract basis. The role involves working a 7-on/7-off schedule from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM over a 13-week assignment starting ASAP. This position requires proficiency with EPIC EMR and a strong background in inpatient pharmacy care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the medication process to promote pharmaceutical care and ensure patient safety.
• Review medication orders for appropriateness relative to diagnosis, weight, allergies, and interactions.
• Accurately enter medication orders using the hospital’s electronic system.
• Verify medication dispensing to minimize errors and ensure timely delivery within guidelines.
• Follow aseptic technique and infection control practices during sterile product preparation.
• Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and colleagues to maintain high standards of safety and compliance.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years of recent inpatient pharmacy experience; pediatric experience strongly preferred but not required.
• Texas pharmacist licensure is a MUST.
• ACPE IV Certification is required.
• Proven ability to maintain accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to established protocols.
• Experience working with EPIC EMR system is highly desirable.

Schedule:

• Overnight shift: 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM
• 7 days on, 7 days off
