An overnight inpatient pharmacist position is available in Richmond, TX, offering the opportunity to provide critical pharmaceutical care within a hospital setting. This 13-week contract role requires a pharmacist to oversee medication management for patients ranging from pediatric to adult, ensuring safe and effective medication use during overnight shifts.

Location: Richmond, TX
Schedule:

• Overnight shifts
• 7 days on, 7 days off
• 7:30 PM – 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire medication process, including accurate order review and medication dispensing, to prevent and resolve drug-related problems.
• Verify medication doses are appropriate according to patient diagnosis, weight, allergies, and potential drug interactions.
• Accurately enter medication orders into the EMR system (EPIC).
• Ensure timely processing and delivery of medications consistent with established guidelines.
• Apply aseptic technique and infection control measures in sterile product preparation; oversee technicians and pharmacists in these practices.
• Maintain compliance with annual aseptic technique and infection control re-certification requirements.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years recent inpatient pharmacy experience; pediatric experience preferred but not required.
• Valid Texas pharmacist license.
• ACPE IV Certification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations and medication management processes.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system.
