The successful candidate will be responsible for the full scope of the role, including day-to-day leadership of the accounting function, ensuring a tight and accurate close process, and elevating internal controls to meet regulatory requirements. This role demands a senior-level professional with a strong accounting background, particularly in the banking sector, and hands-on technical expertise in areas such as consolidations, IFRS/GAAP compliance, and policy uplifts. The Interim Chief Accounting Officer will also be expected to manage technical accounting areas, provide guidance to the accounting team, and be well-versed in accounting ERP and reconciliation systems, with a preference for those experienced in BlackLine or FloQast. Applicants for the Interim Chief Accounting Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, at least 15 years of experience, and a background that includes a senior management role in accounting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and automating internal controls, managing regulatory frameworks, and be adept at collaborating with and mentoring a small team. Technical skills in GAAP, IFRS, and month-end close processes are essential, as is the ability to understand and leverage accounting technology to streamline operations. The role is a contract position with an estimated duration of 6 months, and the candidate must be prepared to step in and make an immediate impact on the organization's accounting operations.
