Legal Billing Specialist - Interim

Interim Legal Billing Specialist needed for a short-term contract role.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full legal billing cycle, including pre-bill preparation, editing, and final invoice generation.
- Review and process attorney time entries and client expenses.
- Work directly with attorneys and legal staff to review and finalize monthly billing.
- Submit invoices and monitor billing deadlines to ensure timely delivery.
- Research and resolve billing discrepancies, billing adjustments, and client inquiries.
- Maintain accurate client and matter information within the billing system.
- Generate and distribute billing reports as requested.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of legal billing experience in a law firm environment.
- Strong understanding of legal billing procedures and billing compliance requirements.
- Experience with electronic billing software.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Office Suite.
