Our client has an opening for a Litigation Associate Attorney for their highly respected boutique law firm in Dallas. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking meaningful courtroom experience, direct mentorship from experienced trial lawyers, and a long-term career with a collaborative litigation practice.
This firm represents businesses, commercial property owners, developers, investors, and other organizations in a broad range of complex commercial and civil litigation matters. Associates work closely with partners from the outset, receive substantial client interaction, and are encouraged to take ownership of their cases.ResponsibilitiesManage a diverse commercial litigation caseload from inception through resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documentsConduct legal research and develop case strategyParticipate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparationWork directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and the courtsAssist with and, when appropriate, take an active role in bench and jury trialsCollaborate with senior attorneys while progressively assuming greater responsibility for client mattersDevelop trusted relationships with clients through practical, business-focused legal counsel
Qualifications
Juris Doctor from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in TexasApproximately 3–5 years of commercial litigation experienceExperience handling business disputes, contract litigation, commercial real estate litigation, construction litigation, or other complex civil litigation mattersLooking to gain experience preparing for trial and participating in hearings, depositions, mediations, or trial proceedingsExcellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skillsStrong organizational abilities with experience managing multiple litigation matters simultaneouslyDesire to develop as a trial attorney within a collaborative environment
