Top regional law firm has an immediate opening for an experienced paralegal. Candidates must have at least 2 years of defense litigation experience. Ideal candidate will have experience managing case materials, conducting legal research, and coordinating communication with clients and other parties. This position demands a sharp eye for detail and the ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced legal environment. Additionally, candidates MUST have experience billing their time. The firm offers a very pleasant working environment, top compensation, and excellent benefits. This is an in office role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research to support defense litigation strategies
- Prepare and organize legal documents and correspondence
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding case status and information
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation and provide on-site trial support
- File legal documents with courts and maintain documentation compliance
- Coordinate and manage the discovery process
- Schedule meetings, hearings, and deadlines related to litigation cases
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience in defense litigation
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with document management systems
- Proven skills in trial preparation activities
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective time management abilities and experience in billing their time
