Position Summary The Select Commercial Insurance Account Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of a book of small commercial accounts. Operating with full autonomy and minimal producer involvement, this role owns all servicing, renewals, marketing, claims assistance, coverage reviews, and account rounding. The Account Manager ensures exceptional client experience, strong retention, and profitable growth of the book. Account Management & Client Service Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned small commercial accounts Independently manage all day-to-day service needs including endorsements, certificates, evidence of coverage, audits, and billing inquiries Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the agency management system Renewals & Marketing Independently manage the entire renewal process including exposure reviews, marketing, and carrier negotiations Prepare and present renewal terms and recommendations directly to clients Align accounts with preferred carriers when possible Proactively manage renewal timelines Claims Management Report claims to carriers and maintain regular follow-up through resolution Act as client advocate for all claims-related matters Provide guidance to clients to ensure understanding of the claims process and expected timelines Account Rounding & Coverage Expansion Identify coverage gaps and cross-sell opportunities Recommend and implement additional coverage solutions without producer involvement Educate clients on exposures and available coverage options to strengthen protection and retention Retention & Relationship Management Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication Drive high retention levels by delivering timely, accurate service and renewal management Maintain detailed account knowledge to anticipate client needs and enhance service delivery New Business Development Independently write new business from producer referrals and call in opportunities Actively solicit referrals from existing book of business, particularly house accounts Leverage relationships with personal lines staff for cross-selling of new business opportunities. Qualifications Active Property & Casualty insurance license Commercial lines account management experience Strong knowledge of small commercial coverages and carrier markets Ability to independently manage renewals, marketing, and service work Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Client retention rate Renewal timeliness Coverage accuracy Client satisfaction New Business production and SBU department growth Alignment with preferred carriers #J-18808-Ljbffr Sunstar Insurance Group
