Director, IT Business Partnering - Oncology Business Unit (OBU) IT Data

AstraZeneca

Director-level IT business partnering role serving the Oncology Business Unit, translating commercial strategy into technology and data initiatives. The position bridges business leadership, product teams, and technical platforms in a regulated pharma environment, requiring strategic advisory skills and cross-functional influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities

Serve as primary IT business partner to senior commercial leaders on data and technology strategy
Develop and maintain business-unit implementation plans aligned with product roadmaps
Identify and broker resolution of cross-program dependencies and conflicting priorities
Partner with Product teams to shape value narratives and incorporate business feedback
Provide senior stakeholders with clear visibility of interdependencies, risks, and trade-offs

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
7+ years client-facing IT business partnering, strategic consulting, or technology advisory experience
Demonstrated success managing senior cross-functional stakeholders with competing priorities
Experience enabling Product Managers/Owners while respecting their decision authority
Strong commercial acumen and understanding of pharma business operations
Ability to translate fluently between commercial and technical language
