About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our finance team. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career accounting professional to build hands-on experience in a supportive, collaborative environment. You'll play a key role in day-to-day accounting operations while learning directly from experienced staff.
Responsibilities
- Process invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with monthly reconciliations and general ledger entries
- Support month-end close activities
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
- Process expense reports and vendor payments
- Assist with data entry and reporting in [QuickBooks/Excel/ERP system]
- Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding account status
- Support senior accountants and the Controller with ad hoc projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
- 0–1 year of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience (internships count)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred (not required)
- Coursework or internship experience in AP/AR, reconciliations, or financial reporting
- Interest in pursuing CPA licensure
