Hardware Engineering's capabilities encompass a broad range of technical disciplines which include engineering, technical services, materials, processes, analysis, test, and documentation.Within the Hardware Engineering Organization, the Undersea & Electronics Systems (UES) Department leads the mechanical and electrical design, development, and integration of a diverse set of products, including but not limited to undersea sensors and analysis, naval platforms, shipboard/ground-based processing and power equipment, and launchers.The UES department is looking for full-time Mechanical Engineering I, located in Marlborough, MA.What You Will DoPerform mechanical design, development, and documentation of components, sub-assemblies, and major end items for defense system equipment in accordance with system requirements.Support the factory and suppliers with product integrationCollaborate across multiple disciplines/functions to solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced, team environment.Validate design fit and functionality by rapid prototyping and/or simulationParticipate in design peer reviews, resolving action items, and conduct trade studies to make sound technical decisions.Occasional CONUS travel to customer sites or suppliers is generally required. International and longer duration travel assignments are available but optionalQualifications You Must Have:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related (STEM) field obtained prior to start.Experience with CAD modeling softwareExperience with CREOExperience may be obtained through on?the?job experience, research, coursework, or projectsQualifications We PreferExperience in the specification, design, development, production and testing of electronics packaging.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Experience on DoD programs.Experience with PTC CREO and PDM.Experience with ANSI/ASME Y14.5 GD&T experience.What We Offer:Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. This position is classified as:Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
