Major product lines include a complete line of thermoplastic and metal fabricated enclosures, fiber optic cable connection and management systems and high performance below grade vaults.

JOB SUMMARY:

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for inventory and supplier management to sourcing raw materials for a manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will need to be Highly Organized, able to perform strategic procurement activities across multiple categories of expenditures such as metals, plastics, and hardware

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
• Forecast price and market trends to identify changes and execute strategies.
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
• Assess, manage, and mitigate risks.
• Seek and partner with reliable vendors.
• Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates Degree or equivalent; 3-5 years of work experience as a buyer preferred.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
• Experience developing and implementing long term strategies.
• Interest in market dynamics along with business sense
• A knack for negotiation and networking
• Oracle or SAP experience preferred.
• APICS Certification preferred
• Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures.
• Solid judgment with ability to make good decisions.
• Submit to background check, pre-employment drug screen.
• Must be able to speak, read/comprehend and write in English.
• Must be able to pass a physical; must be able to lift up to 30 / 50 pounds.

Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and walking (up to continuously); frequent use of computer and telephone requiring repetitive finger, hand, and arm movement; occasionally carry office supplies and other miscellaneous items up to 30 / 50 pounds. Continuous use of seeing, hearing, verbal communication.

Working Conditions: Work indoors and outdoors; exposure to temperatures commensurate with outdoor seasonal temperatures.
