Job Description As a Security Officer Government Services Building Access Control in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue12:00 AM - 08:00 AMWed12:00 AM - 08:00 AMThur12:00 AM - 08:00 AMFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and families at a government services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access in accordance with site procedures, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel. Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and communication logs while supporting a professional and welcoming environment. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least one year of armed security-related experience, law enforcement experience, or military experience. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
