Specialty Representative - Metabolics - Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island, NY

Field-based specialty sales representative role focused on metabolic therapeutic area in the New York City boroughs. Position involves executing brand strategy, managing territory accounts, and driving sales performance while maintaining customer relationships and compliance with healthcare industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Execute brand strategy and achieve sales performance targets, KPIs, and financial objectives in assigned territory
• Develop and implement call plans with SMART objectives and post-call evaluations to improve sales effectiveness
• Build and maintain trusted customer relationships by identifying needs, managing objections, and closing sales opportunities
• Gather and share market intelligence on customer needs, competitors, disease state, and territory landscape with team
• Identify and develop disease state experts and speaker advocates to differentiate AbbVie's value proposition

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business; or 5+ years equivalent industry experience with 3+ in pharmaceutical/health sector
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass drug screening and safe driving requirements
• Meet HCIR credentialing requirements including background checks, drug screens, and immunization proof
• Proven sales success with strong presentation skills and ability to adapt to customer styles
• In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge within metabolic space
• Ability to travel adequately within assigned territory and attend training events
