The Lake Travis Independent School District is a 6A district located alongside the south shore of picturesque Lake Travis in the Texas Hill Country, about 20 miles west of Austin.

The district encompasses 118.2 square miles that are bound by the shores of Lake Travis on the north, Travis and Hays county lines on the south, the Pedernales River to the west, and Lake Austin and Barton Creek to the east.

Originally a component of the Dripping Springs school district, Lake Travis ISD was formed on June 12, 1981. At that time, 541 students were enrolled in grades K-12. Since then, district enrollment has increased to approximately 10,770 students (October 2025) in 11 campuses, including:

Description/Notes:

Under the direction of the Director of Facilities and Construction, provide
senior-level project management, technical expertise, and operational oversight for district
construction and bond projects. Manage the planning, design, construction, budgeting, scheduling, coordination, and close-out of construction projects while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, district requirements, and safety regulations. Oversee departmental projects and functions in the absence of the Director of Facilities and Construction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design or a related field.
• Minimum of fifteen (15) years of architectural design or project management and
construction administration experience required.
• Minimum of ten (10) years supervisory or consultant management experience preferred.
• Experience managing medium to large-scale construction projects preferred.
• Experience with K-12 educational facility construction and bond programs preferred.

Salary Range:

$90,324 - $130,250
225 work days
