Associate - Healthcare

Job Description Lazard seeks an Experienced Associate to work on M&A and other strategic assignments, primarily focused in the healthcare sector within the San Francisco office. The role involves working closely with senior bankers and client executives, providing immediate and meaningful exposure to critical transactions. Key Responsibilities Perform a variety of financial analyses and create complex models. Prepare and create client presentations and meeting materials. Interact with client senior executives. Manage deal processes. Conduct research on relevant companies and sectors. Help prepare for key industry events hosted by Lazard. Provide guidance to teammates at the Analyst level. Requirements At least one year of investment banking experience at the Associate level (strong preference for those with M&A deal experience). Demonstrated experience in Healthcare, particularly in the Life Sciences (e.g., biopharma, diagnostics & tools). Strong financial modeling skills and quantitative background coupled with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage a variety of transactions and projects simultaneously. Demonstrated leadership skills and be a team player with a strong motivation to contribute to a positive team culture. Ability to effectively lead Analysts and provide training and guidance. Top academic performance with comfort operating in a fast‑paced environment that values initiative, creativity, maturity, and poise. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range: approximately $185,000 – $250,000 USD. Compensation may also include incentive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
