As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a government transit location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine driving and foot patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment through strong customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $28.75 / Hour Job Schedule: Daytime Monday 11:59 PM – 08:00 AM, Sunday 11:59 PM – 08:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and local authorities when needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout stations, platforms, parking areas, transit facilities, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and public areas, observe pedestrian activity, and document security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to site expectations. Support a professional presence at the location by following post orders, preparing clear reports, and assisting with crowd flow, directional guidance, and other security-related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
