As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help reduce security‑related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $28.81 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM; Tue 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM; Sun 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site leadership and public emergency responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, parking locations, and perimeter boundaries to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal standards and site protocols, maintaining professional bearing while monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and supporting security‑related response efforts. Support access control and screening activities for employees, contractors, and visitors, confirming authorized entry and reporting policy violations. Minimum Requirements A concealed carry weapons permit is required. A minimum of 1 year of armed security‑related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required. An armed guard card and/or license is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry‑specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
