Pay Rate: $23.40/hr - $26.00/hr, based on experience and qualifications

Come help lead our fun childcare team where the love of work and play unite. Get to know the families and create special memories for our future skiers/snowboarders who are not quite ready for a full day on the slopes.

Summary

Provide quality childcare for children ranging from 18 months to 12 years of age. Assist and lead other staff members to ensure comfort, happiness, and safety of our youngest guests. Effectively assist in managing the licensed childcare at Loveland Basin, ensuring all licensing requirements are met and maintained. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities.

Essential Functions

• Assist the Director to ensure all licensing requirements are met and maintained
• Maintain a strong customer and employee focused culture. Responsible for checking children in/out, preparing snacks and organizing lunch, planning and implementing daily activities for variety of ages monitoring sick children who may be tired or upset and provide comfort, changing diapers and clothing when needed, and keeping the space clean and organized
• Manage Childcare Center in the Director’s absence, functioning as a working manager at these times (managing and performing childcare tasks noted above)
• Maintain staff, child and parent confidentiality
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of the children, checking for hazardous objects, etc.
• Responsible for having access to emergency contacts: what to do in case of an emergency
• Perform general office duties daily including reading and responding to emails, making and receiving phone calls, filing documents, maintaining written logs, reports and checklists, and managing database systems and files.

Requirements

• Must hold (or be able to obtain) the qualifications required for the Small Center, Early Childhood Teacher, as defined in 12 Code of Colorado Regulation Section 2509-8-7.702.45A. (If you do not currently meet all of these qualification requirements, we may be able to work with you to complete these requirements. • Must successfully pass fingerprint background screening
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a childcare setting
• Ability to provide quality childcare while also assisting the Director to ensure all administrative and compliance requirements are met for the oversight of the childcare facility
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral. Must be able to communicate clearly with children, parents, licensor, inspectors and other Loveland employees. Bilingual, a plus.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays.

• Ability to operate point of sale, basic email, and office applications
• Work effectively at high elevations, and function effectively in extreme cold and in other variable and inclement winter weather conditions.
